If you don’t like the way hyperlinks look in your Microsoft Word 2019, 2016, or 2013 document, you can change the color of both visited or non-visited hyperlinks using these steps.
Microsoft Windows
Non-Visited Hyperlinks
To change the color of hyperlinks that have not been visited or clicked, follow these instructions:
Add the hyperlink to your document.
From the “Home” tab, click the small arrow icon in the lower-right corner of the “Styles” box. Alternately, you can use Alt+Ctrl+Shift+S .
In the “Styles” menu, hover your mouse pointer over “Hyperlink“, and then click the triangle that appears to the right. From the drop-down menu that appears, select “Modify…“.
In the “Formatting” section, choose the color you want to use, then click “OK“.
Visited Hyperlinks
The same might happen if you are copying text from a word processing document or from a PDF file and you wish to paste it into an email message. The unwanted characters typically are formatting commands built into the originating program. The problem is that not all programs use the same formatting commands. This will erase all cell formatting (including conditional formatting, number formats, fonts, colors, borders, etc.) but keep the cell contents. Clear Format tips With this Excel Clear Formatting feature, you can easily remove formats not only from a single cell, but also from an entire row, column or worksheet.

Microsoft Word includes formatting options that allow you to view all types of normally invisible marks, such as spaces, tabs and paragraphs. For instance, instead of having a blank space in place of a new paragraph, a 'P' symbol appears in place of paragraph breaks. This can come in handy when you wish to clean up your document. The feature, however, can also make the document harder to read, as it muddies it with numerous symbols. Remove the paragraph symbols in Word by modifying the formatting marks options.
1.
Click the 'File' button at the top-left of the window. A pane opens on the left side of Word.
2.
Click 'Options' at the bottom of the 'File' pane. A pop-up 'Word Options' window opens.
3.
Click the 'Display' button on the top-left side of the 'Word Options' window.
4.
Click the box next to 'Paragraph marks' to remove the check from the box.
Tip
Quickly turn off or on all formatting symbols by clicking the 'P' icon in the 'Paragraph' section of the 'Home' tab. This may not turn off all formatting symbols, however, depending on the options you have chosen. Follow Steps 1-5 if clicking the 'P' icon does not remove all formatting symbols.
